History
Frenchville cricket club was established in 1973 when four junior teams were nominated in the Rockhampton Junior Cricket competition. The teams nominated were U/11, U/13, U/15 and U/17. With the population base in Rockhampton moving towards the North side at around this time it wasn’t long before Frenchville added senior teams to their club. In the 1974/75 season the West Hall cricket club decided to fold and play under the Frenchville cricket club banner and become based at Ryan Park, as they had no juniors and a dwindling population where they were based at West Hall Estate. In the 1974/75 season Frenchville nominated two A grade teams in the Rockhampton senior cricket team, named Frenchville Green and Frenchville White. They had immediate success with Frenchville Green winning the premiership in the first year of senior competition.
This was the first of nine A grade premierships the Frenchville cricket club has won since. The last premiership the club won was in the 2010/11 season, which completed a 6th successive A Grade Premiership, a feat only Brothers have accomplished from 1999-2004. In 2008/09 the club won all three premiership competitions with victories in Third, Second and A-Grade. This was an outstanding achievement by the club.
Over the years Frenchville have produced a number of senior and youth state representatives.
