Frenchville Sports Club held its Annual General Meeting today, Saturday 21 March 2026.
At the meeting, we were proud to award Honorary Life Membership to Mr John Crawford in recognition of his outstanding service, commitment and contribution to the Club, particularly through Frenchville Pioneers Rugby.
John’s involvement with the Club spans more than three decades. Since joining the Pioneers in 1992, he has contributed as a premiership-winning player, dedicated junior coach and, since 2010, Junior Coordinator.
Under his leadership, the junior rugby program has grown into one of the strongest in Central Queensland, creating clear pathways for young players and fostering a strong, community-driven culture.
His hands-on approach, from mentoring players to supporting club operations and sponsorship, has had a lasting impact on both the rugby program and the broader Club.
Lindsay Dean and Jeff Krause were re-elected to the Board of Directors, and we warmly welcome newly elected Director Steven Zammit.
Steve brings extensive experience in community sport, leadership, and a long standing involvement with the Frenchville Sports Club.
We would also like to sincerely thank Greg Jackson for his commitment and valuable contribution to the Club. His dedication over many years has been greatly appreciated.
