Frenchville Sports Club is the proud sponsor of the 2026 Rocky Bash Wheelchair Basketball Tournament, held over the weekend at Bravus Arena, bringing together athletes, supporters and volunteers for a fantastic celebration of inclusive sport.

Now in its third year, the Rocky Bash continues to grow as a key regional sporting event, showcasing the strength of wheelchair basketball across Queensland and the role it plays in developing high-level competition opportunities across regional communities. The event has steadily built its reputation as a well-contested and highly respected tournament on the calendar.

This year’s tournament featured 10 teams and approximately 80 players from Rockhampton, Mackay, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast, Fraser Coast and Bundaberg. Across the weekend, the standard of competition was consistently strong, with tightly contested games reflecting the skill level across all participating regions. Teams demonstrated resilience under pressure, disciplined structures and a strong competitive edge throughout the fixture schedule.

The Frenchville Rockwheelers were proudly represented with two A Grade teams and a mixed regional B Grade side, all competing strongly and contributing to a high-quality and competitive tournament environment. Their involvement reflected both the depth of talent within the club and the continued growth of the program across multiple divisions.

Events like the Rocky Bash highlight the importance of inclusive sport in our region, providing meaningful opportunities for athletes to compete at a high level while continuing to build capability, connection and participation pathways. Frenchville Sports Club is proud to support initiatives that strengthen participation and community connection through sport.
