Frenchville Sports Club is proud to announce the completion of Round 1 of its 2025 Junior PerformanceProgram, providing over $2,000 in funding to 8 talented young athletes from across Central Queensland.
This round supported athletes competing across a range of sports, including netball, softball and rugby, all representing at Capricornia level, with one athlete achieving Australian representation.
With this latest round, the program has now contributed more than $50,000 in funding to support local junior athletes since launching in 2022.
Proudly supported by Thomo’s Betta Home Living and Dr Bradley Richmond, the Junior Performance Program was created to support the long-term development of local athletes. In addition to financial assistance for representative sport, the program provides valuable services, including strength and conditioning training, nutrition advice, and access to sports psychology support.
Frenchville Sports Club Chairman, Graeme Brady OAM, said the Club remains committed to supporting local juniors in reaching their full potential.
“It’s fantastic to see these young athletes continuing to push themselves and represent our region at higher levels,” Mr Brady said.
“We understand the commitment it takes from both the athletes and their families, so being able to provide some support along the way is something we’re very proud of. We’re also grateful to our partners who help make this program possible.”
Meegan Armstrong, Business and Sports Development Manager at Frenchville Sports Club, said the program continues to play an important role in supporting local sporting pathways.
“This program is about creating opportunities and helping young athletes take the next step in their journey,” Meegan said.
“Whether it’s covering travel, uniforms or playing fees, this support helps ease the pressure on families and allows these kids to focus on performing at their best.”
Congratulations to the Round 1 recipients: Abby Barber, Jaya Dyne, Jessie Sadler, Lilly Holden, Marley McDonell, Max Ferguson, Ruby Carrall and Zafeera Gibson.
