Frenchville Sports Club generously donated $10,000 to the Red Shield Appeal during the official launch on Wednesday, 1st May 2024. Renowned for its annual contribution of over $1 million to the Central Queensland community, the Club is honoured to continue its longstanding partnership with the Salvation Army, spanning more than a decade.
The Red Shield Appeal, an initiative by the Salvation Army, aims to assist local families in need by providing essential financial and emotional support. Graeme Brady OAM, Frenchville Sports Club Chairman, expressed the Club's pride in supporting the Salvation Army and the Red Shield Appeal. "Through this contribution, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families facing adversity and in need of assistance," stated Mr. Brady.
CEO Damien Massingham reiterated the Club's steadfast commitment to supporting the community. "Our dedication to supporting our community remains unwavering, and we are delighted to contribute to the Red Shield Appeal each year. By doing so, we ensure that individuals and families facing challenging circumstances receive the necessary resources and support," said Mr. Massingham.
The funds donated by Frenchville Sports Club will be allocated to support various welfare programs, including emergency relief, food and clothing assistance, budget counselling, employment services, and mental health support, among others.
