Frenchville Sports Club Donates $10,000 to the Red Shield Appeal

Wednesday 7th May 2025

Frenchville Sports Club proudly donated $10,000 to the Red Shield Appeal at the annual Red Shield Appeal Breakfast which was held at the Club. A valued partnership that’s spanned over 20 years, this donation reinforces Frenchville’s ongoing commitment to supporting those doing it tough in our community.

Each year, the Red Shield Appeal raises vital funds to assist local families and individuals in need, offering essential services such as emergency relief, financial support, food and clothing assistance, employment services, and mental health programs.

Frenchville Sports Club Chairman, Graeme Brady OAM, said it was a privilege to once again stand beside the Salvation Army and back such an important cause.

"We’re proud to support the Salvation Army and the incredible work they do through the Red Shield Appeal. It’s about more than a donation - it’s about making a real difference in the lives of people in our community when they need it most," Mr Brady said.

CEO Damien Massingham echoed these sentiments, highlighting the Club’s ongoing focus on community connection.

"Frenchville Sports Club was built on community, and giving back has always been at the heart of what we do. We’re honoured to contribute to the Red Shield Appeal again this year and help ensure local families have access to the support and services they deserve," Mr Massingham said.

Funds raised through this year’s appeal will go directly towards local welfare programs, providing much-needed financial and emotional support for individuals and families experiencing hardship.

Frenchville Sports Club encourages other local businesses and community members to get behind this important initiative. Donations can be made online at www.salvationarmy.org.au/rsaroc, or over the phone by quoting RSAROC on 13 72 58.

Together, let’s continue to lift up those in need and make a positive difference across Central Queensland.
