Frenchville Sports Club Launches New State-of-the-Art Cricket Net Facility.

Frenchville Sports Club General Manager, Damien Massingham said the Club was excited to launch the new cricket net facility ahead of the Frenchville Falcons 50th anniversary in 2023.

“The old nets have served us well however it’s well and truly time for a refresh. With the Frenchville Falcons celebrating their 50th year in 2023 there’s no better fitting time,” Mr Massingham said.

“The facilities showcase the latest and greatest in materials, allowing people of all ages to hone their skills within a state-of-the-art facility.”

“Amongst other features, the facility includes retractable netting which will also provide much more flexibility in how the area can be used.”

“The Club would also like to recognise the Queensland Government Gambling Fund, Australian & Queensland Cricket Infrastructure Fund and Central Queensland Cricket for their strong contributions to the project.” Mr Massingham said.

Member for Rockhampton Barry O’Rourke MP praised the Club for their commitment to the community and their commitment in providing first class facilities to local sporting people.

“The Frenchville Sports Club has a long history of supporting the local community, contributing over $1 million each year and the Queensland Government is proud to have partnered with the Club to provide these facilities for our local sports people.” Mr O’Rourke said.
