Frenchville Sports Club is proud to be recognised as a finalist in two categories at the Clubs Queensland Awards, further solidifying its reputation for excellence and community impact.

The Club was acknowledged in the Health & Wellbeing category for its commitment to supporting the Fitzroy Community Hospice, which opened its doors to the public this year.

As a founding partner, Frenchville Sports Club has contributed over $50,000 to support this vital community initiative. This recognition highlights the Club’s ongoing dedication to initiatives that enhance the well-being of the local community.

Additionally, Board Member Jeff Krause was named a finalist for Director of the Year, a well-deserved acknowledgment of his leadership and contributions to the Club.

Jeff has played a vital role in shaping Frenchville Sports Club’s future, contributing to three major infrastructure upgrades and strengthening governance and strategic planning. His dedication to recognising and supporting Club staff, along with his role in planning key events has made a lasting impact.

Frenchville Sports Club Chief Executive Officer, Damien Massingham, said these achievements reflected the Club’s unwavering focus on community support and strong governance.

“Our involvement with the Fitzroy Community Hospice is something we are incredibly proud of, and it’s an honour to see this work recognised on a state level. The hospice is a vital service for our region, and we are committed to supporting its ongoing impact.”
