Frenchville Sports Club Spreads Holiday Cheer with Salvation Army Gift Tree

Monday 4th October 2024

Frenchville Sports Club has launched its annual Salvation Army Gift Giving Tree initiative, aiming to support local families in need this Christmas. The program invites members of the community to donate unwrapped gifts, which will be distributed to those facing challenges during the festive season.

Graeme Brady OAM, Chairman of Frenchville Sports Club, expressed pride in continuing this meaningful partnership with the Salvation Army.

“Christmas is a time to show compassion, and it’s heartwarming to see our members and the broader community come together to make a real impact. Every gift placed under the tree represents kindness and brings joy to those who need it most.”

Major Peter Sutcliffe from the Salvation Army Rockhampton acknowledged the importance of the initiative.

“The ongoing support from Frenchville Sports Club makes a real difference for families in our area. Every gift collected stays within the local community, helping to brighten Christmas for those who may be facing hardships.”

The Gift Giving Tree symbolizes compassion, unity, and the true spirit of Christmas.

Community members are encouraged to drop off their unwrapped gifts at Frenchville Sports Club before December 10th to ensure they are included in the Salvation Army's distribution efforts.

By participating in this initiative, the community can help spread holiday cheer and ensure that local families feel supported during the festive season.
