Sports Celebration Day – Celebrating our junior sports people

Published 11th September 2023

The Frenchville Sports Club on Sunday, September 10th saw an amazing turnout of over 1,000 junior sports players who came together for an afternoon full of excitement and entertainment.

The Frenchville Sports Club, home to nine different sports categories, was proud to host the Sports Celebration Day for the second year. The event featured a petting zoo, inflatables, pony rides, water slides, stilt walkers, and even a fire-breathing show.

Steve Lill, the Sports Manager at Frenchville Sports Club, expressed how proud the club was of the event and the overwhelming turnout it saw.

"It's wonderful to see all the different sports come together and celebrate as one club. The Sports Celebration Day is a day we look forward to every year, as it allows us to recognize and applaud the hard work and dedication of our junior sports players"

"The event was a resounding success that brought joy and excitement to everyone involved. It was heartening to see children from different sports categories come together and celebrate as one club, highlighting the importance of teamwork and community in sports," Mr Lill said.

The event was a great way to honor the young athletes for their hard work and dedication while providing them with a fun-filled day of activities and entertainment. We hope that the event continues to grow in the coming years, and that it remains a memorable day for all sporting members of the Frenchville Sports Club.
